Helicon
Helicon
The Helicon table is born from the encounter between technical mastery and visual perception. A thin spun metal sheet takes shape in a continuous profile which, beneath the glass surface, generates an unexpected visual depth. The eye is guided toward the center by a fluid curve that seems to open the space, creating an almost hypnotic optical effect. The glass top becomes a transparent threshold: not merely a functional surface, but an element that reveals the table’s internal construction and amplifies its poetic dimension. The metal, crafted with precision, transforms into a light gesture that invites the gaze to explore the form.
The table’s visual lightness takes shape above all through the special glass top variant, capable of defining a precise character. Filigrana offers a graphic and contemporary interpretation thanks to a back-printed grid. The geometric pattern engages in dialogue with the metal structure, transforming the top into a distinct visual element, able to organize the space with elegance.
The expressive strength of this table lies in the contrast between materiality and lightness. The metal sheet is shaped through spinning until it becomes a fluid surface, almost soft to the eye. The glass top plays an essential role: it visually suspends the metal volume and allows the form to be perceived in its entirety. Viewed from above, the structure appears as a geometry that gathers into a gentle central convergence, creating a surprisingly harmonious perception of depth. The result is an object that unites constructive rigor and poetic sensitivity, where the precision of industrial craftsmanship translates into a light and elegant visual presence.
Helicon’s structure changes its voice through color. Matte finishes do not reflect: they absorb light, hold it, and transform it into atmosphere. Dark tones sharpen the gesture, almost graphic, lending the table a deep sense of calm, while lighter nuances soften the design and allow the purity of its proportions to emerge, like a mark resting in space without sound. In every choice, Desalto colors restore tactility and silence: the structure enters into dialogue with its surroundings, shaping a different character each time.
